I’m all for the NRA and such. I knew they can be extremist at times. I was unaware guns could stop tsunamis however. I almost have to agree with BoingBoing on this topic. I put the original comic here for your reading pleasure.

I wonder about the NRA sometimes.  Sometimes, I think they do the neccessary lobbying to keep gun control at bay, as best they can.  Other times, I think they’d lobby anyone who will listen.  I mean, if a candidate espoused grinding up homeless people for food AND wanted to abolish gun control, what would the NRA do?  My guess is support the candidate.  I read the NRA magazine monthly.  I see some of the candidates they support.  I mean,  great, support you cause and all.  However, wake up and look at the bigger picture.  Some of these people are blithering idiots and espouse views that are just contrary to basic economics.  Oh, but they support gun control too, so the NRA endorses them.

The NRA does great training and introductions to firearms.  I’ve taken their classes.  The materials and instructors are great.  You can’t find a better club to support you as you start your love affair with firearms.

The Terrorists have already won.

When I was a teenager, the Anarchist’s Cookbook was a source of entertainment for years.  It wasn’t just the ability to read about subversive behavior, it was actually trying to execute plans and get away with it.  Unfortunately, today I would end up arrested, like these kids, and sent to jail to perfect my art.  Current day US is fucked up and we know it.  We idly stand by and watch it happen, assuming it is the job of someone else to stand up and fix it.  Wake up.
